I'm curious, I have a 44" deck that uses 3 16 1/4" blades (normally found on 48" decks) so there is quite a bit of blade overlap with the front blade out ahead of the flank ones, of course.

The manual says to use 1/8" or so of forward pitch. I'm curious, since the center blade is so far out ahead of the others, would increased pitch above a modest amount cause the center blade to cut lower than the two side blades? The geometry of this is hard to visualize.
