I listened to everyone on this site and adjusted my deck pitch to get a better striped look to the lawns. Well the deck pitch adjustment did help with striping, but also after i did it i noticed a "raised" strip of grass along the right side of the deck. The cut quality took a nose dive once i did this as well.

Now i talked to some guys who said their mowers came factory direct with a deck pitch already set, but my gravely was level. Could it be that i need to set my deck back to level with the CRAZY amount of growth we have been having in MI? Then when it heats up to adjust the deck pitch again?

    Any thoughts.

    Blades are sharp, and balanced.

The deck pitch is even on both sides. Air pressure is even in the tires.

it will never hurt to try. How much of a pitch do you have on it?

    Striping is over rated.

Are you measuring from bottom of each blade-tip to a FLAT true floor with one of these?

Is the 44" deck a 3 blade deck? Maybe with your shorter blades 1/8" is too much?

What are your RPM's set at?

Are your blades relatively NEW, and not rounded off on the ends?
