Looking for advice from people much more experienced than I, YOU!
I am a homeowner cutting approx 2 acres, front is flat with landscaped beds lots of room, back is sloped with lots of trees.
The trees are mature pines with no low branches.
I am looking at purchasing a ztr to enable me to cut around the trees and beds faster than I am presently doing with my JD with a 38 deck. Could you discuss the pros and cons of different width decks...52, 60 etc.. I am mostly concerned with scalping on the slopes. Thanks in advance!

60 in. decks on a mid-mount rider, are easily controlled once you know the machine. if the property is pretty rough you may want to go with the 52in. for scalping reasons. 60 in compared to the 52in. in the same machine will save you about 10-15 min. in mow time on a 2 acre property.

Not trying to be a smart alec, but there is a "Homeowner Assistance Forum" on this board.

This should be taken over there.
