Our installation crew is in the process of installing our first Decoder based system. I know that another large, commercial install (Cabela's in Wheeling, WVA) was done using decoders. Just curious to hear the benefits & downfalls of servicing these new systems. Our installation is new construction & it is inevitable that our 2 14 gauge wires will be hit somewhere. We have downloaded & printed Rain Bird's instructional book on decoder systems. Just figured I'd try to get some input from you guys.
    Thanks,

At the GC I used the Nimbus system. We had some problems, kept having to replace the circuit boards, this will have to be performed by a Rainbird Tech. Which central control system are you using? Are you using satellites with your field decoders? If you don't have satellites and your central board goes down, as ours did, then the only way to get water is by manually opening the valves.
