I'm spinning off a new dedicated lighting division spring 2008. I'm looking at trucks and I am seriously considering this one. What is your opinion?
    Thank you. Pete

I'm of the opinion that spending as little as possible on a vehicle is the best route...of course, while still having something that looks professional.

I believe there is a certain GVW that gives you better tax breaks as well (100% depreciation 1st year I think). I may be wrong, as tax laws change so much.

As for the truck itself, they're supposed to be awesome...great capacity and great longevity due to diesel engine. I mean, UPS uses them, so they must be decent to get the use those dudes give them. Just not sure if they're the best alternative for the money.

We use Izuzu NPR box trucks for my crews and they work great. You can buildout the inside and they run about 32K. The sprinters are nice but its a work truck and I would rather have the proven izuzu versus spending an extra 10-14K. Not to mention, the lower the overhead the better.

I drove a Dodge one today. They want sticker and no negotiation. They claim the 08's aren't arriving till spring. they said alot of things. I'm gonna try another dealer and see what they say.
