I haven't posted many locate pic's this year for a number of reasons but i will post these soon.

A contractor buddy is doing a pile of odds and ends for a couple of absentee owners. One has a weeping valve.

I showed up today and thought, i been here before.

I found the first 4 of 7 in about 45 minutes, the more i was there the more that got that feeling of comfort.

My buddy was trying to tell me where he thought the valves should be and i would head the other way.

after spending a good long time there i remembered the previous owners name and told my buddy the valve was under the hot tub.

Sure enough, opposite side of the house and under the deck the tub sat on.

That valve was leaking when i began locating. Must have been 99 or 2000.

Do you repair the valves or just locate them?

I don't repair much and the repair crowd doesn't locate much.

I would be nice to do nothing but locate and leak detection but then i wouldn't have enough time on my hands for R&D, dogs cows and colts, and the cabins and things i like to do.

The 2nd picture in that set, the one with the low pressure donut's by the river is a classic.

The installer prolly used 1/2 pound per ft instead of .433 or the more conservative 2 in 5 when doing calcs.

he may have even been from So Cal, Tx or Georgia as far as that goes.

More likely the broken line i found.
