Anyone charge late fees or interest? A collection agency told me that you can't charge late fees legally unless you have a signed contract that spells out the fees ahead of time. I'm trying to decide what to do because I don't have many contracts.

I have one commerical account that it always takes a phone call to them to get your money and this is after the 20 days that I give them to pay the monthly bill so they were late again this month so I hit them with a $25,00 late fee they will either pay it or they will not pay it but maybe I have gotton their attention any way

It depends on the state. Ohio you must have fees and charges on the bottom of the bill thats it as long as you don't exceed 25% then you have to do a whole paper work nightmare.
