Does anyone know of a website where I can easily tell the difference between different kinds of grass and shrubs. I am asked all the time to trim shrubs and hedges where I always seem to run into something I have no idea what it is. If I do not know what it is or how to trim it, I pass or I spend a huge amount of time to find out what it is first.

Also many of my customers have this grass that is super fine like hair. Appears to require a lot of water and fertilizer, and everyone of the customers that have this grass expect it cut to about an inch in length. It does look good short but is not easy to cut at least with the mowers I use.

search for plant indentification keys......that is what you are looking for. Your extension service may have one local to you.

First rate education is visiting and learning current plants, grasses, and trees from local nurseries.
I did not do research to see where you reside but maintenance is something more than just mowing grass and trimming shrubs.
Not all shrubbery is pruned, sheared at the same time..........ornamental grasses is another class of its own.
