Is it really thatch or just dead matted grass and leaves.
If it is real thatch you need a flail mower to start ripping.
How much to charge? I dont know I am new.

Personally I would charge right around $80-$125. It would take me about 30 minutes to make two passes and another 20 minutes to mow (collect grass) and cleanup. I dethatch quite a bit in the spring.
