Does anyone have any experience using Linknow Media out of Montreal for their web site design and hosting? I think they do a lot with lawn and landscape companies.

I had been wanting to have a web site and this company put a quick one together and emailed it to me without me having contacted them first. If I use them I would change the text and a few other things.

The price for development seems right (usually $495 but right now it is $295) but I'm not sure about the monthly hosting charge which is $39.95/month. Part of that is their marketing which is mainly keeping the search words high on the list when people Google.

Anyways... I'd like to know if anyone has had any good or bad experiences with Linknow before I commit? Or has anyone found something cheaper that they are happy with?

    Thanks!

They are giving you a decent price on the design and then socking it to you on hosting which will get them more money in the long run. That hosting fee is terrible. Hosting should be less than $ 100.00 a year maybe even far less.

What did you end up doing with linknow? They have been calling me for months. I cannot find much info about them, and I am reluctant to use them.

If you want check out the company that did mine. They give 10% discount for anyone from Lawnsite. It would be worth a call.

I am paying $4 a month for hosting and doing my SEO. For $40 a month I would want to know what keywords they are using. IF they are words you want, then I would want it in writing that they will keep you on page one of Google (although with a little work, you can do all that yourself).

Holy crap! $4/mo for seo? Who is doing that and what are the results? A typical SEO program is $250 and up.

You don't want to pay $40/mo for hosting. That's almost $500 every year.
I occasionally roll out websites like this one: http://propertymanagementkiawah.com/
For less than half of that per month. No design costs.
