I am wondering how long an opened bottle of diazinon 25% is "good".
I bought a huge bottle a few years ago and it says it should be used within 6 months of opening it.

At a tablespoon or 2 per gallon I could have made hundreds of gallons of the stuff. Certainly more than I could have safely used on my lawn.

What happens to diazinon as it sits? Does it become less effective as it ages? How long am I able to use it with the desired effect?

Lastly, what do I do with the nearly full bottle of diazinon when it needs disposed of?

Thanks a million for any help.

25 percent? WHOA! Who made it? Didn't know you could get technical grade pesticides! I guess if you can't use it up, contact a local pest control operator. If he won't take it off your hands, call your county agriculture agent. He'll know how to handle it.

I believe I have a container of ortho and one called "No-Pest"

It's available off the shelf at Wal-Mart.

    Good stuff!

Do they generally charge for the disposal of pesticides?

I have a 2 1/2 of 48% (Wilbur Ellis. RU) that I opened at least two years ago. (Save it for tough jobs.) that seems to work just as well now as when I got it.
Contact your State Ag about disposal. Here in Idaho they have days set up where you can drop anything off at no charge.
