Did I charge enough for this?! HA

    Im a long time searcher on this site and just recently started posting....I did a job for this guy...he had a 9000sf driveway it was old crushed concrete/potholes ect...first day i was there 2 hours graded the drive flat...two days later he got 75tons of crushed concrete dropped...i spread,graded and level...took about 3hours....i asked for $500...was kickin myself when he said "thats it":cry:

    Technically you charged $100/hr so you made out ok. However for that type of work, you could have probably got $800-$1000 if not more depending on different factors.

    $100 per hour is not bad but what equipment did you have on the site? If you were running a mini skid or small tractor you could have easily gotten $125-$140+ per hour. If you were running a skid loader or a larger tractor/ backhoe you could have gotten a lot more.

    Did that include the rock? Hopefully that feller will get you some more work.

    Why didn't you give him a price before you started doing the work?

    i hope that price didn't include buying the rock...but for you going out there 2 separate days and only spending a few hours you would have been ok asking for around $750

    guys around here are doing bobcat work, gradingand leveling for $50 - $75/hr! I charge $65/hr! with a 2 hr min but dang! I would have said yes you made out well on that job especially if you did not have to buy anyrocks or haul anything away!
