I don't understand this. ^^^^ Are you running commercial mowers or the old nut and bolt adjustment type. Keep a log of the height for each customer. Do this now so when you get 10 crews the crew chief will know the height. I will add, I mow whatever the customer wants, as long as the blades don't hit the ground. I have one that the 21 honda is on the lowest setting which is around 1 3/4". Burmuda and yes it turns brown, but greens backup and all and all doesnt look too bad.

And when other customers see a brown lawn, they will not call you. when cutting so low kills the grass the customer will sue you into bringing in sod to replace it.

so hand the customer a contract that says you are not responsible for any damage due to cutting too short. sounds like you do nothing but turn away work

dont want to lower my blades for other customers and screw up their lawns and loose them.

    This is nothing like

So I respectively deleted this and wish I had my 10 minutes back for reading it.

it would take me more time adjusting the blades than it would to more. would you want to cut your profit to about 25 percent?

to the guy that said you are always seeing me turn away work. you must have me confused with someone else. this would be the first time iv ever turned away work. and in fact i convinced him to let me do it weekly.

I refer you back to the "things you aren't putting up with this year" thread. This is a perfect example. This is the type of customer I reserve the term Yard Tard. I don't like using the latter half because it is offensive and just plain mean, especially to those who it hits home with. .. but. If you've done this work for more than a few years, you'll come across all sorts of idiots and clowns. Just move on. There are better customers down the street.
