Tizzy, what are you getting mpg wise in the 6.4? I have plans for similar build I just towed 360 miles with my 8.5 x 20 enclosed (empty) and averaged 10.3mpg according to the computer I didn't calculate it out myself yet

empty it get 15-17 around town 25-27 hwy.

towing it doesn't drop by much it hold 14-15 around town, 22-23 hwy.

its had major improvements in performance. but that also came with a lot of upgrades. we did a ton of modifications with the bulletproofing on it.

be prepared to do headgaskets on it and do not skimp out on the job when you replace them. its a big nut to drop on it. I originally had the egr and dpf removed and ran it till I popped a head gasket, then we went all out on it.

we were about 12K on my 6.4 for the bulletproofing.

we did ARP studs, new O-ringed heads, upgraded valve springs, upgraded rockers and lifters, chromoly pushrods. aluminum pistons and billet connecting rods, wastegate kit and 6.0 manifolds im sure im forgetting something. it is pretty much a stage 3 engine build so we can upgrade as far as we want.

it also has 3" stainless intercooler pipes, banks intercooler, mishimoto aluminum radiator. it is still using the stock compounds with minor upgrades for now

all said and done there is probably about 20K into the truck to date. we are going to be putting a built revmax tranny w/ stage 5 converter in it when this transmission goes and will be doing a turbo change to highpower compounds or a conversion to a single 80mm have not decided yet because I don't want to put oversize injectors in it because I like the fuel mileage and power I have now. but it needs a turbo upgrade to get the EGTs down.

Are you still on stock transmission? I don't have quite as much work done to mine but it has been gone through with new studs and beefed up. I'm running the spartan 210 and the shifts are very firm. It just worries me running a higher tune that the trans won't be able to handle it. The motor can, trans can't.

yeah still on stock trans, it handles it fine no slipping issues just have to be mindful of trans temp and change fluid annually. the trans has been rebuilt but it was under warranty before the work was done. currently have 30000 miles on it. ive towed and plowed with the 350 tune in but i dont like doing it the throttle response is way to sensitive, i use the the 210 tow tune when pulling over 6000 lbs just to be one the safe side. the stock trans can handle 650hp no problem. the egts stay suprisingly low with the 350 tune and it gets great fuel mileage.

You guys are aware of how many spartan tuned 6.4s have ran away recently, right? Two of my local friends' 6.4s have run away in the past 2 months, and i can think of several acquaintances I have who have experienced the same thing with there 6.4s. After further research we read about alot of 6.4s doing the same thing. I would definitely take another route if I were yall. I am also curious about how well these o ringed heads will last. I've seen many people try it on 6.0s with bad results.
