    Anyone have a quick ballpark price on the 420 backhoe and trencher attachments? Wanted a little beforehand pricing knowledge before talking to the regional distributor.

    I am looking at a list i Got from my dealer about a year ago.....so these prices may have gone up a bit since then, but maybe it will give you a ballpark idea.....

    Direct Drive Trencher = $ 3059
    You then have to select the chain you want to add to that which is anywhere from 300 to 700 dollars. Then it also has the boom and safety bars listed as a seperate item. 24"=$369 & 36"=$469

    Backhoe = $6839

    Hope this helps.

    We priced out a Dingo 425 (wider tracks than the 420) and it was right around 16.3k. For the high torque auger (two bits I believe 12 & 30), adjustable pallet forks, leveler, light materials bucket, and multi-purpose tool we were right around 23k. This was about 6 months ago.

    I also inquired about the backhoe attachment and cultivator b/c we rented both a number of times and really like them. It was a little over 6 grand for the backhoe. Not worth the purchase IMO. We can rent it for 85 a day and it's not rented a lot so its not like there are availability options. The cultivatory if my memory serves me correctly was around 4-5k. That would've pushed the machine to the 30k range with taxes and all.

    OK here is the package. Let me know what range you guys think it should sell for. Only a couple of the attachments have been used a few hours
    (bucket and trencher). Rest are brand new. Came from a rental store which went bankrupt. Buying all this at once I can see why!!

    Dingo 420TX- 27 hrs
    Light material bucket
    Narrow bucket
    Adjustable forks
    Auger power unit- w/9" and 12" bits
    36" trencher bar with 6" rock chain
    Backhoe attachment with 12" bucket
    Backfill blade

    I've got a 2000 tx420 with 1200 hours, but really good shape. Two buckets, the light mats and a toothed narrow one. Then I just bought a used trencher, high torgue power head with a 30" and 7" auger bit and a boring unit. I paid 12.8k, 9 for the dingo and 3.8 for the trencher, auger and borer. I was fortunate with the attachments and I believe in the spring, this total package to be worth slightly more that what I paid. If I had the backhoe, we would have a very similar comparison for all used equipment. Seems like your looking at a good deal to me at 20k.
