disapering kio

    yesterday i went out and bought two kio for my new pond i put them in and this morning i woke up and there gone WHAT COULD OF HAPPEND AND WHAT DO I DO :realmad: :realmad: :angry: :angry:

    If they were small fish, say 4" or under, likely culprits are a water snake or a big bullfrog.

    If they were bigger, possible culprits are racoons, herons, possoms.

    A lot of folks will put a plastic mesh over the pond. This will work for birds & varmits, but does nothing for snakes.

    Time to put out some motorized tail finned plastic kio if their is such a thing. :D

    they were 4 to 5'' long and theres on snakes or frogs in the pond yet

    i was think that it was racoons, skunks, or a herron i never thought about possems What should i do to get rid of the pests

    I lost about a dozen small ones this year, i was thinking Birds mostly got em. we lost a few when we had an unsexpected freeze last fall and the pond iced over and the small fountain pumped the pond just about dry...

    If you freeze one in a glass of water, and then thaw it out. . . it will live. Pretty cool! Cruel, but Cool!

    we have enough of them i'd never miss a few... We are getting ready to start pumping some of the ponds and clean the silt and junk outa the bottom....and fix teh rocks that have been thrown in..dam kids
