Can discharge chutes be easily removed to fit through very narrow gates?

    it depends on the model

  4. Uh, well, yeah. But operating your mower without a guard on the discharge is asking for it. So be sure to put it back. You might be able to rig up some quick-release pins, or an Operator Controled Discharge (OCD). Depending on your mower, you might be able to buy an OCD.

Most will flip up out of the way so there is no need to remove it. What kind of mower are you refering to.
