discharge pattern

    why is the discharge pattern so concentrated towards the front of the deck on the aerocore decks and can anything be done or modified to change that? my 36 spreads clippings in a big fan, but the 52 shoots a straight line from the front of the deck very low to the ground resulting in clippings laying everywhere. hardly fans out at all and leaves the clippings very long. other than that they have got it cutting a little bit better

    kawakx125,

    The Aero Core has a stronger discharge flow then the older style decks especially the two blade decks that don't have a front baffle and blade choice will also affect the discharge.

    so is a lower lift blade the better choice for better dispersal? still does it with the factory blades

    Lower lift blade will not move as much air so it will slow down the discharge.

    i've probably spend 150-200 bucks in blades trying to find something that cuts and disperses decently. regular lift blades and g5's don't give a good dispersal and leave long clippings laying everywhere, i would imagine high lifts would be worse about this. low lift blades you are saying will slow down discharge, so will that fan it out more and will that leave me with even more stragglers? when looking at my blades while spinning, it appears to me that the only areas getting any lift are directly underneath the blade, but not the sharpened portion. at the front of the blades the grass is being blown over. according to the diagram of aerocore on website, my deck is flowing backwards. lift at back and underneath but not at front tips of blades. A) flowing too much air causing some to get pushed back down at front and blowing grass over or B) not enough lift to suck the grass up
