recently went to the ecmark lazer z xs
have always used a side discharge deck
if i go to the mulch kit will the clippings mat the ground
or do they pretty well fall down into the grass
i am in sw fla and mow mostly bahia, once a week but it really is growing.
am thinking that i will not get a clean appearance by mulching
also it rains often, how does the mulch kit do in wet tall bahia
i have a mobile home park that side discharge is becoming a problem to its residents with clippins all over the place.

    thanks for the input

Get an OCDC for the deck.

bahia does not mulch as good as St Augustine it will clog the deck if wet, I leave my blades on until im in the trailer because about 20 lbs of mush drops out when you stop the blades.

mulching bahia this time of year is for the criminally insane or at least those who like to work a whole lot harder than they need to.

Bahia is just too fiberous to mulch especially with this amount of growth. I am experiencing up to 7 inches per week.

    operator controlled discharge chute

Not a good answer to mulching Bahia. The idea is that you can close the discharge chute at will with the flip of a switch or lever. Great idea for avoiding having discharge end up in a non covered pool or in someone's bed. Bad idea for trying to mulch an entire yard.
