Are the very ends of the two adjoining blades wore or broken off? Or on just one? The blades are or should be offset so that they actually overlap each other in order to make a clean cut. Thats the reason the spindles are not in linbe with each other, so that the over lapping will make a clean cut.

To clarify--the blades don't actully lay over each other--with the different blades being in a slightly differnt location on the deck, the cut actually is overlapped. In other words--if you have 3 blades, there not going to be in a straight line with each other on the deck--one will be offset.

Bent spindle bolt can make a little difference on Scag switch them around and make another measurement.
