Okay I need some help choosing between two used mowers. They are:

    1. 2006 Dixie chopper LT 2500 50" with 150 hrs - $4500
    2. 2007 cub cadet tank m48 with 350 hrs - $3300

Dixie has had one owner and strictly residential.
Cub has had two owners also only residential

I have a small yard; only 1/2 acre but looking for a good quality mower that will last a long time and speed up the process of mowing my yard. I know both are a little overkill but I think I'd rather get a used commercial than a new residential.

I've read on here that the Dixie may actually be a residential and not commercial mower. Also there are no close Dixie chopper stores nearby so repair may be difficult.

What does everybody think. Would love to get an explanation but would also like to hear from those who just want to pick one.

The Dixie LT2500 should be a Silver Eagle. It is a lower end commercial mower and was Dixie's first mower with modern features like an electric clutch and deck lift. I've not seen a whole lot of compaints about them. The 25 horse Generac engine has proven to be an able engine.

I would go with the dixie chopper. I would not even consider the cub cadet the dixie chopper is a much better machine.

Where's Envy to tell you the Tank is the finest piece of machinery ever devised by man? if you want to know about the real capabilities at your disposal if you become a owner of a Tank zero turn then just do a search for an individual named Envy and his threads. You will soon realize a Tank zero turn can be used for everything from conquering foreign countries that do not comply with your wishes as well as getting date's with the hottest super models or if you dare going on a Mar's expedition even becomes possible for an operator at the controls of this unit. Mowing grass will just be an after thought when you own and operate a Cub Cadet Tank!:)
