Im thinking about buying a 36" Dixon zero turn, for small houses. My questions are: How well do they cut? Do they scalp often? How well do they bag with an impeller?

It sounds like your considering a residential machine for commercial use ... my recommendation would be don't do it !! If you need it for commercial use, get a commercial grade machine.

The new ones are vastly better than the early ones. I have an 1983 model 308. It's absolutely the worst product I have ever owned! Parts availability is mediocre. I've even called Mr. Dixon at home to complain.

As I said, the new ones are a lot better, but you couldn't GIVE me one!
