In that case I need a raise.
Wow, I forgot how low wages were back there. Don't think I could ever take that big of a pay cut.
I applied last week at a mine up in Sparwood, I'm trying to move out of town and find a life in a small town to make better money.
The biggest problem about this province is nobody wants to pay a person a liveable wage. Lots of young trades people have a h*ll of a time trying to create a life for themselves.
You can't live off of anything less than 20 per hour comfortably not with the cost of living these days.
Susposidly Saskatchewan is the province to be in if you can stand the utter flatness
You can live decently off 20 dollars an hour, I bought my first place on a 20 an hour wage.
Just don't be an idiot with your money and you'll be fine.
You must live pretty cheap ? what in the h*ll do you eat ?
The place you bought must be on the low scale.
The cheapest thing for sale around here is a 1/8 of a acre lot with a 1970s 18 foot travel trailer for 170,000 dollars. You have to use a outhouse no septic system.
For 250,000 you can buy a half acre lot with a 800 square foot house. There are other houses your paying 300,000 for a 900 square foot house on a 1/16th of a acre lot.
The most expensive house on the market right now is 2.6 million you get a 4000 square foot house on 15 acres of land.
You got to remember there is unlisted property in the area that sells for for 5-10 million dollars.
There is lots of money out there many of this property is paid for by cash no payments.
Once again....I don't know why I bother, but......you do realize that the area (fantasy land) that you live in, does not represent the rest of the province...right?
Of course you don't realise that....you also don't realise there is a website called realtor.ca, and with that, you can look up all of the property for sale that is listed on MLS. That way, other people can search for your area and actually see what is for sale and for how much.
As for living cheap, I know families that are living quite well with a single income of around 20 dollars an hour and two kids to support.
Man, are you really as stupid as you come across? Do they make you wear a helmet when you go out in public?
We received 1700 cubic meters of dredging from a marina in one day as well as our normal stuff. Anyways, it's all soup and we got buried pretty bad.
here the 300 is bailing to the 200 basically just pushing it further and durther back.
Had to dig it a road to get it up to solid ground at the end of the day.
Not a bad machine for a cheap rental, 3,000 hours old.
Another day; Some of you were asking to see pictures of my friends who like to come hangout at work.
Back to trying to float the lovely lady on topsoil, it didn't work.
Some pieces of junk that are waiting for me to fix them.
Update part deux:
this about sums up how the next day went.
Another operator tried to follow me over where I was working. fail.
Did some ditching with the D5 shitty pictures, but I'm trying to de-water around the sunken cat so we can start filling around it.
Went up wheeling over the weekend to do some ice fishing, not a shabby view.
Dont be rubbing no paint off the back of those machines now! haha
