Was parking my truck tonight and when I shifted into park it made a very loud grinding sound and then no parking gear, drive or reverse. I tried shifting in and out of park and it makes the grinding sound each time it is put into park. Is my tranny done??? :dizzy: :dizzy:

if the truck is 4x4 with a manual transfer case make sure the case is not shifted into neutral we had a truck that did the same thing yours is doing and all it was was the transfer case was in neutral

Find a reputable tranny shop in your area and have it rebuilt. Should run from 500 - 1000.
