That's what she said.....I didn't really think I was far off.

Net mowing area is about 7900 sq/ft. = $120/month for 1 mow per week.

    fert app = $42.00/app
    weed cont = $49/app
    tree & shrub fert = 44/app
shrub/ground cover trim and haul away (figured 1 hr) = $65.00

Haven't done the follow up phone call yet....

    :)

Maybe there was confusion on the $120 part. Go back and make sure you tell them that is for the month, or $30 each visit to make sure they understand its not $120 each visit.

Maybe even ask what they were paying, or what they had in mind to pay. This might help you see they are not even close. Or you are, then maybe you can help then see you are the man for the job. Sell yourself and your company!

Oh she knows it was 30.00 per mow. I think she is more upset with the fert app pricing and stuff....which I thought was right on....?????

    why worry about it?

If she doesn't like your price, so what?
If you start negotiating than you look like a despersate loser.

As I said before, do people get to haggle price with their plumber? electrician?
If your going to be in this game, be in it 100% don't be a flunky.
You think she will care when your business folds due to no profit?

It won't be her fault, it would be yours for not sticking to your guns.:blob2:

So when your quote comes in the mail does it say on the outside of the envelope "PLEASE SIT DOWN!"........hahaha

Seems like most think we all work for free these days.

People are funny, especially when they try to make you seem like the thief for charging what we charge.

I still only see two types of posts and threads -
One - My minimum is $1,000
Two - Dam scrubs are beating the heck out of me

    DING! DING! DING! DING! DING!

We have a winner folks. I like the way you think philk17088, keep it up and God bless you.

The time we stop all undercutting each other and get similar pricing for the same localities we will drive out the lowballers and start making real $$.

Your post did my heart good. :D

Sometimes you have to know when to talk, and know when to walk. For every bid I lose, I figure on 2 to make up for it. If you have enough of work lined up, apparently you are doing something right. Why sweat one person. I have never kown someone who could get 100% of their bids.
