Do you guys reccomend a laptop? If so, how do you use one?
I have a laptop. Its an older Toshiba, but works well. I dont carry is with me in the truck, but use it frequently nonetheless. If your not going to be carrying it with you in the field, than I would just get a desktop.
I wouldn't use one in my truck. I think thats unneccessary.
But if you do do that, they make a cool holder for a laptop in a truck, that angles it at you .
Lap tops are great IF you need one.
If you don't need the convenience of a lap top you get a lot more computer for the money with a desk top. A LOT more!
I have a dell inspiron 1000 for keepng track of things and for a mapping program to check out homes that want estimates , get aerial views and directions to the house
