I found a 04 1500 4x4 Regular Cab Dodge Hemi for a great price, only has 30,000k What do you guys get MPG? is there any problems with these trucks? How is the power? I'm used to driving chevys with the 5.3, Do you think these are pretty close as far as power and MPG? Thanks.

we have Jeep Grand Cherokee with a HEMI (2005) with 65K on the clock. Power is great, pulls our 6,000lb boat with ease. We are averaging 15mpg with her, and she has the system where it shuts down 4 cylinders when they are not needed, i dont know if that was offered in 2004 or if that started in 2005...the Multi Displacement System i think its called

how much do they want for it?
I have an 04 hemi quad cab ram and love it. Yes the mileage could be better but then again great power comes along with it. The 2004's did not come with MDS (multiple displacement system) but i still get about 21mpg empty hwy and 14 city. loaded up it usually a constant 12 and to me thats no so bad. I'm pretty sure the reg cab gets a couple mpg more.

I'll call bull on that torque. Try 375 which is way below my 8.1 at 454 lb ft at the same HP.

:) Kind of figured it might be. But 375 is what acarplace shows when they were comparing it ( your Hemi 5.7L ) to the Fords and Chevys. Did they fudge the figures here? http://www.acarplace.com/reviews/2005/ram-hemi.html :D

2003 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad cab 4x4 5 speed great power. 89000 miles I have always got 16 highway and 12 city since new. All of these figures are from the overhead console. The very best it got was 17.5 highway. Hope this helps.
