The St. Louis Cardinals looked like champions last night in getting past the Pittsburgh Pirates, but the redbirds will be no match for the loaded Los Angeles Dodgers.
    Dodgers in six games.

The Boston Red Sox will get by the Detroit Tigers (who will beat the Athletics tonight), but it will take seven games -- thanks to the Tigers' stellar pitching.

well, can't say I'm not a little heartbroken because of the Pirates loss last night, but hey, after 20 dismal years of baseball here in Pittsburgh, we'll take it...they more then exceeded expectations here :)

as for the Series, I agree and think the Dodgers will beat the Cards, but I'm hoping the Tigers come out of the AL...so, I'm predicting Dodgers-Tigers in the World Series :waving:

I'll stick with my New England roots and go for the Sox all the way!

Well i hope any team but the Dodgers win. Its not that i hate the Dodgers, its just that i have an aunt that i really really really hate and shes a die hard dodgers fan and i know she would rub it in my face big time since im an SF fan.

    whatever :p

and with the Cards up 2-0, doesn't look very promising for the Dodgers :hammerhead:

well, it appears to be getting interesting with the Tigers and Sox tied at 2 games apiece and the Cards up 3-2 on the Dodgers. we'll see if the Cards can hold on or have a collapse like they did last year when they lost 3 straight to the SF Giants to lose the NLCS

Yea its getting good! If the Dodgers tie up the series i think they will take game 7 having all that momentum. Would be a shame for the Cards to loose back to back years after having a 3-1 lead.
Tigers/Boston is a toss-up, they are both good one day and bad the next, you just never know. Still a really exciting series.

Haven't watched much of the dodgers-cardinals series but looks to be a great series.

Tigers-sox has been a great series. Its all tied up and now the tigers have there best 3 pitchers up. I have confidence in our starting pitching but the bullpen is horrible. Only advantage the sox will have is they have home field advantage in that little league park they play in. But if it goes to game 7 which it probably will then they will have to face JV which is pitching lights out. Go Tigers

Cardinals could wrap it up tonight, but they will have to score three or four runs. Can't rule out the Dodgers with their pitching.

I still like the Red Sox because I think they just plain want it more.
