    I kinda agree with you.

Use the WB for a month, then use a velkie for a month and then tell us what you think about it.

Now I've heard it all. I'll stick with what's worked for years with no issues.

I'm in business to be productive and make money. Learn how to use productive equipment and you won't have to walk.

Learn to operate equipment properly and you won't be damaging lawns.

Thanks for the replies. Most of you are confirming what I suspected. I will likely be purchasing a Wright Velke X2 for the Scag tomorrow. I just needed a little confirmation that there was an actual productivity increase.

I'm not concerned about turf damage. It can be minimized/eliminated with the proper care and handling of the equipment. No need for a ten page argument.

Do most of you leave the discharge chute open when using the velke at higher speeds? Is it even possible to mulch mow?

I run a mulch kit and g5 blades this time of year.

The velke x2 is worth every penny. Make sure you keep the bearings greased at all times. I grease mine every day or 2 of use.
