I know Corn Gluten Meal helps with annual weeds. Will it control or have any effect on established broadleaf weeds. Will if have any effect on preventing the SPREAD of future broadleaf weeds. Does CGM have any effect on viney weeds like violets.

CGM will not kill or affect established weeds.

CGM will help stop the spread of future broadleaf weeds. CGM contains a natural enzyme that will build up in the soil, usually taking about 3 years to get 80% control of seed germination.

I would say yes, that CGM will knock back violets. Being a difficult to control broadleaf weed, your results may vary.
