Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. This Dump Trailer/Leaf Box is for sale locally and I am interested in it. But I'm not sure if it's a good deal or not. I actually hadn't planned on buying one for another year or two, but I feel it could be a great investment. Please tell me what you think, here's what the ad says:

"6' x 12', 14,000 GVW, It's actually 9990 gvw, scissor-lift, along with leaf box and custom built Salsco 16 hp V-twin leaf vac with accessories, 32 hours, Pristine condition, Ready for Work, $7800"

I offered him $7300, he won't go lower than $7500 and says offer is good for this weekend only. He also states he invested just over $11,000 in this unit.

You could buy that same setup new for about the same or less depending on brand, personally I think its too high.

Personally I think he not to far off the mark. In this area the trailer couldbe had for about $6000. Wood sides, maybe $200, Engine and blower, $1200. Does it have a top on it?? Would your area require one? I would try it out before putting the money out.

Hope the deal works out for you,
