Does unwashed drain rock pose a problem?

Backfilled my retaining wall with 6M rock but didn't wash the rock. About 3' high at some points. Will that pose a problem with proper drainage? The rock had a slight powder to it, nothing crazy.

Just out of curiosity, your local quarries don't wash the aggregate, or sell washed aggregate?

See, around here, drainage aggregate comes washed straight from the quarry.

Find a source with washed rock. Depending on the depth of the gravel and amount of fines stuck to it you could end up with plugged up drain pipe or plugged weep holes.
