    That extra power is amazing when needed.

    Do you all like the 4 cycle stuff? I have heard it was a good bit heavier than the 2.

    I love it. It really not heavier. Shindi's are all heavier than my 4 strokes. By bp blower comes in at 21 lbs and that's lighter than all the rest in that cc class.

    Yep, this Dolmar BP has the same engine cc's as a RM 8500.
    Dolmar = 22.4 lbs // RM 8500 = 24.7 lbs // RM 7500 = 23.4 lbs
    Interestingly, Husqvarna's versions (580 & 570) are all about 1 lb heavier than their RM counterparts...though they're reported to be more comfortable.

    My Honda 35cc trimmer comes in just shy of 15 lbs, but is well balanced...and the ultra quiet power is robust, especially down in the lower RPMs where I prefer to run it.

    I believe that the extra weight of the Husky BP's comes from their waist belts and cross chest straps. Put one on and then the other and no who is being honest one can tell any difference in weight hanging off your shoulders. However, after 15 minutes of running or more the Husky will feel a LOT lighter.

    BTW Weeze- the BR600 is lighter than the Dolmar.

    The 600 is also a smaller blower in every way

    Nope. The Stihl has the same HP (actually .2 more. The current 3.8 on their site is a misprint). The Stihl has slightly more MPH and slightly less CFM, and I do mean slightly, so that's a wash. The Stihl will easily do anything that the Dolmar will do.

    That was supposed to be JC Lawn, not Weeze. My bad.
