This winter i did some wiring for the local American Red Cross. After the job was complete i asked about mowing. The lady said that sometimes she uses "appointed helpers" (community service juveniles) and last year they blew up 2 push mowers. i asked her who else helped, and some local LCO's were charging her outrageous prices, because it wasn't a weekly thing, just here and there. well in my opinion the American Red Cross has helped so many people, and i think they deserve any break they can get. If i were ever in need of their help then i would be grateful that they are there. so every dollar they save, helps someone else.

so to my point. i haven't given back as much as i could. so to help the Red Cross out i told the lady i would donate my time when she needs it. The building is exactly 30 seconds from my house. the lot is about one acre, and the building and parking lot take up a bunch of it. i hear a lot of talk about charging for every little thing, but i feel better this way.

so thats my way of giving back to my community.
