I don't know what happened but, it looks like it was toenailed at the top. Not the best way to do it. Notched or a bracket would be better.
What actually did that? Looks like some sort of upheaval for sure.

No i dont need a better camera i just need to hold it still heres what happened.
And that is one of the many reasons why I take the rops off my ztrs. they cause more problems then its worth.
Is that your house? Did it stop the Z in it's tracks and throw you forward?

I'd send OSHA the bill for making ROPS mandatory now... 99% of the time the ROPS are going to CAUSE accidents rather than prevent them. You have proof of that, and dang expensive proof at that...
I hope everything there was able to set back down into place. I bet that was a bit more than a one man job getting that back right again huh?
ROPS are just completely worthless. I'd unbolt that thing and then cut it into 6 inch pieces just to vent some frustration!
