what is it with women drivers? if she was backing out she shouldn't have been going so fast to put such a huge dent in your truck. i see it all the time. i dunno what it is. they just press the gas and expect everything else to move out of their way.

i was over at my brother's house the other day and we were trying to tell his wife not to turn so sharp backing out of the garage because her front tire kept going through the landscape bed. soon as we get done telling her she backs out and goes right through the bed again. it's like they don't understand. the landscape bed can't move out of your way. you are the only thing that can adjust. you can drive correctly and slower while backing out. it's useless man. they will never get it.

That sucks man, sorry to see that... Thank god for insurance but I know that does little to make you feel better at this point... I'm just like you where even though I know it will be fixed it still bothers me because I like everything perfect!

It got fixed but took them 2 weeks and $3500 dollars later, but your exactly right. Im OCD when it comes to my truck, trailer, and equipment. I want it to be in tip top shape and driving around with a huge dent in my truck drove me crazy!!

Of course it's always women haha. She came flying out of the driveway and didnt look behind her. The reason I know this is because I was standing in the front yard spreading fertilizer and watched her the whole time, then SLAM right into my truck. Whats even crazier is that she was driving a honda civic and it only put a small dent in her back bumper.

Yeah the beds of trucks are pretty thin, if you lean against it too hard you can usually bend/deflect it and then it pops back, good thing it didn't your gas tank/cap or fill tube.

Ive actually been looking for a 2500 HD or Diesel or even a F250. I want a single cab with the long bed and I want to build a flat bed with 5 ft sides that are removable. But everything around here is either beat to hell or extremely over priced. Im not paying $15,000 for 2001 2500hd with almost 200,000 miles when I only paid $21,000 for my 2012 Silverado with less than 10,000 miles on it. People are NUTS!!

That was the crazy part, some how she missed the gas lid, so they were able to reuse to filler neck, gas cap, and gas lid with no problems. I climbed under there when it first happened to make sure no gas was leaking out because that bed fender was pushed all the way to the frame.

HaHa... I hear that... I see that you run Walkers... I am a Walker man myself, just about to pick up a Diesel and I am pretty stoked. I have always run the gassers, mainly the efi's and I've been super happy with them.. How do you like running yours with the 54? I have actually never ran one with a side discharge but I am going to get the 62 SD along with the 48ghs... And as for used trucks.... If you don't mind traveling a little bit and possibly striking out a couple times..... craigslist is really so amazing.. I just picked up a 2003 F350 dually with a 10ft. dump bed, 57,000 miles on it, 8ft western snow plow, for 7 flat... It's my first ford but I absolutely had to grab it at that price! Keep looking and you will find the gem that you seek.
