I maintain a very old system that has a Doubler installed because the zone wire went bad under the road and there were no spares.

The Doubler works but, as you know, each respective zone only comes on every other cycle, it is aggravating to start the zones manually, etc.

I am thinking about replacing it with an Add-A-Zone. Do any of you have experience with them and do they work as advertised?

    Thanks / Regards,

    Mex

Hands down the best broken wire solution that I have ever used. I've got a couple dozen in the ground and they work perfectly.

I'm not sure if you can buy them directly from VR Manufacturing or if you can only get them through a distributor. I always buy them through a distributor. I bought the last few through Pete. You can order them at his site at www.remotepigtails.com

Add-A-Zone is definitely preferable to the Doubler. I've installed quite a few and it does work exactly as advertised.
