doubling up blades??

    I read a couple posts where guys double up blades. I belive in a cross pattern. I was just wondering from a manufacturer's angle.
    How does this effect the machine? Any extra stress on the spindles? Can this be done safely? And most importantly does this have any effect on the warranty.

    Fred's the man!! But don't tell some of the people that swear by doubles. They might not sleep anymore. :D

    gotta say i like my doubles on the lazer 52w 20 kohler.
    less missed grass and better distribution of discharge.
    i dont bag and the leave is hard to see.also really improves leaf mulching . to each his own . mines a 96 and ive put one clutch on. later now
