Im touching up a driveway that has been over grown by weeds and grass but still has a decent base customer wants it dressed up with some stone should i spray it down with weed killer then apply stone or should i put a thin layer of gravel down then stone? the driveway is almost gone due to neglect, should i shape it back with the stone or edge it out first. if so whats the best way to edge quickly

If it's a gravel driveway, spray, box grade it and lay down a new layer of CA-6, or equivalent. (3/4 inch rock with rock dust/fines in it)

It packs down to form a good base and can be easily plowed in the winter time.
