drought tolerant northern grass seed

    Do not use K31. What a clumpy mess that makes in a KBG lawn.
    I have had good luck seeding a TTTF and Per Rye blend in existing lawns. I really like the look of that blend and the TTTF is definitely more tolerant of dry conditions than KBG.

    Maybe ill look into that ntep,

    I was looking for and answer like....that new scotts drought abc I planted 2 years ago stays way greener than the xyz I planted in a different post.

    So you need something even more drought resistant than Scotts abc,,, for those particular spots that continue to dry out in your lawn???

    You'll be further ahead to ammend those spots... but it is always fun to look for the perfect seed... let us know what you find and what was the variety/cultivar of Scotts abc??? :)

    I'm curious, what is a mature stand of turf?

    One full growing season? 5? 10? 50?

    How does one determine when a stand of turf is mature?

    OK, so define withstand.

    Any and all cool season turf varieties are going to go dormant in this kind of heat and drought.

    What part of Minnesota? Because I drove from MI to Montana and Minnesota was the greenest of all the states we were in.
