Made $950 plowing snow last Monday. First snow we've had all year in my part of the state. Should get 1 more storm this year hopefully. I bought a snow plow last fall and at this rate it will take 3 years for it to pay for itself. Should have subbed the work out.

The key is to budget for the winter. Dont put more money on the credit cards then you can afford to pay back when the bill comes......interest will kill you!

Hey Bayfish- c'mon up my way and I'll sell you a whole truck setup. I didn't re new any snow contracts this year.Too many rednecks with a pickup and plow to be competetive anymore. All commercial clients were whining in June about last Febuary's bills, and were wanting to change 2" snowfalls in the contract to 4" snowfalls! With as much snow as we've had this year, I'd be facing multiple headaches from these guys. It's not worth losing my shirt over, so we put some money away in the fall from cleanups. For the first time in 4 winters I am relaxing and planning ad campaigns and strategy for spring.Cheers fellas!
