Dying Juniper Question

    One of our developers emailed this to me this morning. this is from his yard, juniper of some type. probably in a little more shade than it needs to be.

    any clue as to what is causing this?

    Bagworms. Might be too late to spray in your area as they may have begun to pupate (forming cocoons inside the bag). Need to spray 'em while they're actively feeding - ie: bags 1/2 to 1 inch long. Plan ahead for next year.

    BTW I used to spray Mickey Mantle's arborvitaes for bagworms. (Dallas, TX)
