Yesterday while playing pick-up sticks at a condo on the water I was nearly carried off by these little buggers. I slapped no less than 50 of them and started mowing covered in my own blood. Guess what I didn't put back in the truck after the weekend?

I'm still itching and today the properties I'm doing are all in pine woods but I'll be soaked in DEET.

I noticed after the time change last week, late afternoons on the shaded side of the house, I was getting swarmed. I put my Off back in the truck too.

Its the end of the season and the females are desperate to reproduce so they need blood.
