I am having some driveability issues with a 2003 Walker Model MT. Recently the hydros have become very sensitive and not as responsive as they had been. I see some oil leakage from the lower seal for the control lever where the forward/reverse linkage attaches to the hydro. The fluid looks clean and the linkages are greased. The hydros have approximately 3k hours with zero problems. Could the lower seal leaking cause this driveability issue? Is it difficult to replace the lower seal or does the entire unit require a rebuild? In advance, thank you guys for any input.

Just an update. I purchased the control shaft seal for $10.00 and replaced it. I drained the fluid and replaced it with fresh Mobil 1. The hydro is back to working like new and there is no more leaks or control lever sensitivity.
