I just bought this and used my normal blend of oil and gas. A week after using it though it seemed like it spurted/started leaking out mostly oil from around the tank somewhere or maybe the muffler getting on my clothes and around the engine. Dealer checked for a leak but said there wasn't any. Then he said I might be mixing it to rich but have never had this happen before with my older equipment. He didn't take it apart or anything is that what you guys would think? thanks

What is your "normal" blend of gas and oil.

The new trimmers, blowers etc. need 89 or higher octane gas and 50:1 oil and it has to be good oil (Echo, Stihl, Husky) or you will have problems. It doesn't matter what brand that you use.

We use all Echo equipment and run 89 octane gas and Echo oil and don't have any problems.

    Good luck!

Check for a split fuel line or, more common for me on my echos, a missing or broken vent capper, maybe a missing gasket on the fuel cap.
