I have an Echo 650 blower that is only about 15 mos. old. Recently the switch that controls the speed will not shut it off and I have to shut it off with the choke switch. The cable is slipping or something.

Anyone come across this and is it easy to repair?

I think there are two metal plates in the handle that connect and disconnect to turn it on and off. Maybe they are dirty and or out of alignment?
