Anyone have a tool to get the circlip off that is inside the main pipe holder on the echo motors that holds the clutch in it is too deep to get regular pair of ring pliers in there

I ordered the official tool from Echo, and it was the same pair sold at our
local NAPA, but cost twice as much.

You can make your own for less than the factory tool and it will work better. Two ways to make one. Way number one is get a pair of needle nose pliers and grind the tips it fit the clip. Two get a pair of needle nose pliers and weld or braze a set of tips from some snap ring pliers to the end. We have a set that is brazed which seems to work the best. Grinding does not work too well unless the re heat treat the tips for they get soft for the ginding. Welding seems to burn up the metal to much for my like. Braze seems to be the best way. Good luck.
