Just picked up (used) the above long handled hedge trimmer. This unit has a joint where different attachments can be added. Is there some type of lube that I should be using on the flexible inner shaft before I start using it. Runs great just want to be on the safe side....
    Thanks in advance

I don't know for sure, but I don't think you need to.

I have never had to grease any of the Echo shafts and never had any failures but greasing it with axle grease won't hurt.

YES! you need to grease these. I Prefer Echo Lube, but high-temp wheel bearing grease is better than no grease. Make sure that you grease the attachment heads, also. This is stuff that is supposed to be done regularly.
