Sorry if this has been discussed recently, I searched and read for quite a while and decided to post.

I removed the muffler off my champion of leafs, cleaned the port, then removed the screen from the muffler and ported the muffler some. You folks think I'll need to richen up the high speed adjuster?

Also where should my compression be, checked in at 100 psi, seemed low but I'm used to working on chainsaws.

Figuring I can probably tell if I'm lean by ear, but thought I'd ask around. The RPM range is a lot lower than my chainsaws I think. Anyone know the RPM it should be running at wide open?

Sure sound better and throttle response was better for the brief test tonight. Can't wait to open'er up tomo and beat on some leafs.

100 psi is pretty low. You may want to put a smaller diameter tube on your discharge to increase blower velocity.

Adjust it by ear. Regardless of what you run that unit is going to wear out the crank bearing so keep an eye on those. And obviously when you replace them replace the needle bearing on the piston end.
