I dunno... I just buy a whole new recoil and I'm done with it.

They don't go real often, but more often than other makes.
So I figure I'm better off and quicker just to swap the whole thing.
That way I don't go to the trouble only to have the cord go next.

Echo has a new, heavier duty recoil for their big blowers. Buy the complete unit and be done with it.

Never changed a 750 but I am guessing it is the same as other echo equipment. Take the screw out of the plastic pulley that is used for the rope and lift it up and out. Then pull out the old spring. The new spring usually comes in a cage that allows you to slip the spring out of the cage into place in the blower housing. Then put the plastic pulley back in place. It is a little tricky making sure that you get the pulley in place so that it picks up the tab on the end of the spring. After you get the pulley seated then you wind up the rope. Not easy the first few times but it get easier.
